If you want us to review a product of yours, here's what you should know.
How Do We Contact You?
Use our Contact page and choose "Review comment" in the Regarding drop-down list. Tell us what product you'd like us to review in the Comments section. If it sounds like an interesting product, we'll reply back to you.
What Do We Need To Give You?
For software, a link to your download page and an installation key. The installation key must be the same as a paying customer would get. We don't review trial or demo programs.
For hardware or accessories, whatever a regular customer would get. If you want us to review an optional or special feature of the product, include anything necessary to review that, too, but note that it's optional. For example, if you want us to review the video output capabilities of a Pocket PC, you should include a video out cable if one isn't included in the typical package.
Can We See Examples Of Your Previous Reviews?
Absolutely! Just visit our Reviews page.
How Long Is The Review Process?
That depends on the complexity of the product. I like to live with a product for a while, which ensures a fairly thorough review. For a simple program or accessory, it can take a week or two; more complex products can take longer. We will keep you apprised of the progress.
How Will People Find The Review?
It will be listed on our Reviews page for at least one year (probably longer). Additionally, it will be linked to on our Home page for one month and on our Hall of Fame page for at least one year (again, probably longer).
You will also be provided with a URL that you can post on your site and on other sites that accept announcements.
How Will Our Product Be Returned?
That depends on the type of product and how we received it.
- Software will never be returned. It's not practical to do that.
- Hardware and accessories sent to us unsolicited or without contacting us as specified above will not be returned.
- Hardware and accessories worth less than $100 U.S. will not be returned unless special arrangements are made ahead of time. In that case, return arrangements are handled as specified below.
- Hardware and accessories worth $100 U.S. or more will be returned unless you agree that's not necessary. You must provide us with a return shipping label or shipping account information sufficient to return the product. If you want the product insured, you will have to provide us sufficient funds to do so. Basically, we don't want to have to pay anything to return the product to you.
